Hungry Islanderโ€™s Studio, Sri Lankaโ€™s first-ever culinary studio, opened its doors to experience existing and numerous team-building activities with a culinary twist for individuals of all ages, genders, from corporate events to parties. Located at the heart of Colombo, Hungry Islanderโ€™s Studio is well-equipped to accommodate 30 individuals. The studio interior screams vibrance, bold and fun filled hues and has stainless steel countertops for food preparations and the state -of- the -art electronic devices.

Speaking of her newest venture, Sajida Shabir, Founder of The Hungryislander said, โ€œThis is an ideal space for anyone who loves to explore their inner chef and adventurous side of trying new things. This concept of โ€œculinary studioโ€ is not as serious as that of a culinary school as in the professional landscape. However, it is more of a test kitchen which is absolutely stress free and excitement packed to- do -list. This is for anyone who is passionate about cooking, loves to try new things, wanting to learn cooking and interested in doing cooking activities.โ€

Sajida, (27), is not a new name to the culinary landscape in Sri Lanka, her social media presence is known as โ€œThe Hungryislanderโ€ since 2017 and she founded her very own cloud kitchen 3 years ago as โ€œThe Hungry Islandersโ€™ Kitchenโ€ which offers keto-friendly, low carb, vegetarian, halal food.

Now, The Hungryislander Founder has been able to open a unique concept of a culinary studio with the intention of creating a relaxing and entertaining space for hosting parties, events, corporate events while not refining to the home kitchen but with a bunch of your favourite people around. Apart from those workshops, she also holds weekly and monthly masterclasses. These can be customised and curated to suit the needs of the clients no matter whether they are a group of friends, children, siblings, parents, a date or with significant other with no age barriers.

She also believes that cooking does not have to be serious, meticulous and strict with details, but a fun-filled activity that can make ever-lasting memories together beyond your home kitchen. This studio is to bring the fun to be in groups, to do group activities, have a good time and with good food.
