Fashion Bug elevates Colombo retail with expansion of Colpetty Flagship
Strengthening its footprint in Sri Lanka’s competitive fashion retail sector, Fashion Bug opened a newly developed wing at its Colpetty branch on February 18. This milestone reflects the brand’s continued investment in enhancing customer experience and expanding its portfolio.
The Colpetty branch, established in 1998 as the Fashion Bug’s third outlet and first venture into Colombo, has long served as its flagship store. Over thirty years, it has evolved into a high-traffic retail destination, reinforcing its reputation for trend-forward fashion, innovation and customer trust.
Remarking on the significance of the expansion, Fashion Bug Director Shabier Subian said; “As one of our most historically significant branches, Colpetty represents both our heritage and our forward momentum. This new wing allows us to deliver a more refined retail experience with diversified product offerings while reaffirming our confidence in the resilience of Sri Lanka’s retail industry.”
Deputy General Manager Marketing and Sales Dr S.H.M. Faraaz, emphasised the customer-centric approach behind the expansion, stating, “Our decisions are guided by data-driven insights and evolving lifestyle trends. Today’s customers seek space, comfort, accessibility, and variety under one store. The new wing enables us to meet those expectations effectively while enhancing overall engagement at the flagship level.”
The event marked the official launch of SAVAGE, a disruptive new unisex streetwear label built for the fearless and the unapologetic. Designed for a generation that moves different, SAVAGE delivers oversized silhouettes, statement graphics, and expressive drops that challenge the norm. Rooted in street culture and driven by attitude, the brand represents more than fashion it’s a mindset.
